Starting from 2026, startup teams composed of talented female students from UBS will have the opportunity to undertake internships in Riga, Latvia.
Today, the University of Business and Science welcomed leading women in technology and innovation — Aiva Staņēviča (Board Member and CTO of Riga TechGirls) and Alise Gurenko (Startup Program Manager).

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the UBS Supervisory Board, Professor Elyorjon Jumayev.
During the discussions, the parties addressed:
Expanding women’s participation in advanced technology sectors;
Strengthening their role within the startup ecosystem;
Exploring opportunities to support young innovators.
The parties also considered the joint implementation of a new initiative titled “Female Founders.” This project aims not only to enhance the potential of female students but also to strengthen international cooperation.
Remaining committed to its global mission, UBS will continue to support initiatives based on inclusivity and innovation.
