A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation has been signed between the University of Business and Science (UBS) and the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago, one of the most prestigious engineering universities in the United States.

Under this agreement:
Joint degree programs will be launched for UBS students, with diplomas recognized both in the U.S. and Uzbekistan;
Student and faculty exchanges will be implemented in engineering and business fields;
“Powered by IIT” courses will be integrated into UBS programs;
Short-term training, research internships, and joint projects in IT, artificial intelligence, engineering innovations, and international business will be conducted.
Another key aspect of the collaboration is the “Startup Bootcamp” programs, where UBS students will participate in practical training at IIT’s Chicago campus.
This provides students with opportunities to connect with the global innovation and business ecosystem through research internships.

It should be noted that during previous negotiations between UBS and IIT representatives, the following forms of joint degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels were agreed upon:
2+2 undergraduate programs (2 years in Uzbekistan + 2 years in the U.S.);
3+1 undergraduate programs (3 years in Uzbekistan + 1 year in the U.S.);
4+0 undergraduate programs (collaboration entirely at UBS);
1+1 master’s programs (1 year in Uzbekistan + 1 year in the U.S.);
2+0 master’s programs (collaboration entirely at UBS).
