Admissions open for the new academic year at UBS

University of Business and Science (UBS), one of the leading higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, continues to strengthen its position in the international arena year after year. Admissions for the 2026–2027 academic year are currently underway.

Achievements and recognition

Within a short period, UBS has achieved remarkable results in educational quality and innovation:

“Best Non-State higher education institution of the year” — ranked 1st in this nomination consecutively in 2024 and 2025.

“Brand Awards International – 2025” — received this prestigious award among universities across the country for its digital transformation and innovative services.

In addition, UBS ranks 873rd among the TOP 1000 higher education institutions in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, which includes the world's most prestigious universities, and holds the 994th position in the Round University Ranking.

Modern Campuses and Dormitories

UBS has six modern campuses, four of which are located in Namangan Region and two in the city of Tashkent.

The availability of comfortable and modern dormitories helps students make their learning process more effective.

Furthermore, “UBS Hospital” is being established in Namangan. In order to operate the clinic in accordance with international standards and create a modern practical training base for medical students, cooperation agreements have been established with several foreign institutions, particularly with Turkey’s Emsey Hospital.

Currently, the university offers:

• 49 Bachelor's degree programs;
• 14 Master's degree programs;
• 5 Doctoral specialties.

Grants, scholarships, and benefits for students

To identify talented young people, develop their creative potential, and support their growth, one-semester grants are awarded to students who achieve high academic performance during the academic year.

At the end of each semester, the best students, based on examination results, receive the right to study free of charge. To date, more than 1,000 students have benefited from this opportunity.

Students holding IELTS, CEFR, or National certificates are provided with tuition discounts and scholarships.

To support highly talented and capable students, scholarships totaling 3 million UZS over one academic year have been introduced.

Based on the principles of social justice, UBS provides special benefits for students from low-income families and for women. This initiative aims to create equal opportunities for talented young people from all segments of society.

To strengthen solidarity among students, the “Friends” and “Family” programs have also been introduced:

• Under the “Friends” program, if you study together with your classmate, you receive a 10% discount on tuition fees.

• Under the “Family” program, siblings or spouses studying together are also granted a 10% tuition discount.

International cooperation and educational programs

UBS successfully implements academic programs and research projects in cooperation with prestigious higher education institutions around the world.

Partnerships have been established with universities in the United States, South Korea, Germany, Turkey, Malaysia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, and Azerbaijan.

Joint educational and internship programs have been launched with South Korea’s leading universities, Sejong and Kyungdong, enabling talented students to continue their studies in the Republic of Korea.

These agreements provide opportunities not only for students but also for faculty members through short-term internships and professional development programs. Examples include internship programs conducted at Karabuk University in Turkey and the University of Malta. Through these programs, UBS faculty members have gained valuable experience in modern educational technologies, advanced pedagogical approaches, and effective management of educational processes.

In an effort to further strengthen global academic cooperation, UBS representatives are working with some of the world's most prestigious institutions, including Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the Illinois Institute of Technology, which is among the TOP 5 engineering universities in the United States, to organize joint programs and internships for students and faculty members.

UBS plans to introduce educational programs based on the MIT educational model, creating a foundation for preparing globally competitive specialists.

In addition, cooperation is being established with Japan’s University of Tsukuba, ranked among the TOP 350 universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, focusing on bilateral exchange programs and the integration of artificial intelligence into education.

Moreover, during the current year, the UBS delegation established cooperation agreements with Turkey’s Emsey Hospital, as well as Yeditepe University, Beykent University, and Biruni University.

Partnerships have also been established with Universiti Utara Malaysia, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, the University of Otago (New Zealand), Mindanao State University, Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan, and Don Tonino Bello University in Italy.

Furthermore, UBS students have successfully completed short-term internship programs at INTI, SEGI, and UPSI universities in Malaysia, as well as Wekerle University in Hungary, earning international certificates.

From diploma to employment — UBS is with you!

To ensure that its graduates remain competitive in the labor market, University of Business and Science (UBS) established a Career Center.

The center provides students and graduates with the necessary support and opportunities for employment, internships, and professional development.

As part of this initiative, UBS, in cooperation with the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment, organized the “Career day” job fair in Tashkent and other cities.

As a result, 90–95% of students were accepted for internships and secured employment. This achievement reflects the effectiveness of efforts aimed at creating a productive platform for communication between young people and employers.

International conferences

In recent years, UBS has been paying significant attention to science and international cooperation, steadily strengthening its position within the academic community. During the 2024–2026 academic years, the university successfully organized more than 10 international and national scientific conferences. In addition, faculty members actively participated in over 20 prestigious international and national conferences and forums.

Scientific articles published by the university’s researchers have appeared in Q1 and Q2-ranked journals, which are among the most prestigious scientific publications in the world.

Q1 (Quartile 1) journals represent the highest category of academic journals, publishing only research papers distinguished by high scientific relevance, rigorous methodology, and exceptional research quality.

The first scientific article authored by our university’s researchers was published in the journal “Applied mathematics and mechanics (English Edition).” This journal ranks among the TOP 10 worldwide in its field and holds a high academic standing. This achievement is a clear reflection of our university’s scientific potential and the result of the dedication and hard work of our faculty members.

Currently, UBS researchers continue to publish articles in several prestigious international scientific journals. This success plays an important role not only in enhancing the scientific capacity of our university but also in strengthening the scientific reputation and standing of our country.

To support educational quality and academic development, more than 50 textbooks and educational publications prepared by the university’s faculty members have been approved for publication in accordance with a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and an order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations. These publications comply with modern educational standards and contribute to the effective organization of the learning process and deeper mastery of academic disciplines. This approval is a recognition of the pedagogical team’s dedicated commitment to knowledge and education.

A platform supporting student creativity

Creating a favorable environment where students can learn, grow, and express themselves freely is considered one of the key priorities of every modern university. Following this principle, UBS has implemented a number of initiatives aimed at unlocking not only the academic but also the creative potential of young people.

In particular, UBS presents one of the largest innovation initiatives of the year for students — the “Startup projects competition.” The best teams selected through the competition participate in an Artificial Intelligence (AI) training program sponsored by the university. Promising projects may receive funding of up to USD 200,000. Qualified university specialists provide continuous support to students in promoting their projects in local and international markets and attracting additional investment.

In addition, “UBS xabarnomasi” is an information newspaper published regularly every month. The newspaper provides an open platform for students to think independently, engage in creative exploration, and showcase their talents. Students have the opportunity to publish poems, stories, essays, photo reports, research works, and personal observations, enabling them to present their creative work to a broader audience.

Furthermore, UBS regularly organizes various olympiads and competitions for school, college, and lyceum students. In particular, more than 20,000 school students participated in the “UBS Science Olympiad” with a prize fund of 2 billion UZS in 2023 and 4 billion UZS in 2024. In 2025, more than 120,000 school students from across the country participated in the Olympiad conducted in five subjects with a prize fund of 4 billion UZS. Winners were awarded UBS grants and vouchers, while their teachers received valuable prizes.

Knowledge is an investment, and UBS is the destination

Through its international partnerships, advanced academic programs, and extensive educational opportunities, UBS University is making a significant contribution to the modernization of Uzbekistan’s education system. The university’s high-quality education, research potential, and graduate support services are making UBS one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Uzbekistan.
